Monika Wolińska received a special award for lifetime artistic work, in form of silver statuette of Kazimierz Andrzej Jaworski for achievements in the field of artistic creation, dissemination and protection of cultural heritage, awarded by President of City of Chełm – Agata Fisz. It’s a great honor, beacuse great Chelm citizen – Ida Haendel can be found on laureates list.
Monika Wolińska led the Polish Radio Orchestra during the recording of music for Lech Majewski’s “Valley of the Gods”. Jan AP Kaczmarek is responsible for the music composition. Recordings took place at the Polish Radio Studio in Warsaw.
On January 19th, Monika Wolińska will receive a special KAJ award for lifetime achievement. The distinction of name of Kazimierz Andrzej Jaworski is granted in the field of artistic creation, dissemination and protection of cultural goods. It’s an incredible honor, because the laureates are the great Ida Haendel.
During 3rd edition of the Kwadrofonik festival, held at Museum of History of Polish Jews, POLIN Monika Wolińska led Kwadrofonik with guests. During the concert, they performed Steve Reich’s “Daniel Variations”.
In November, the Hart Institute for Women Conductors met at the Opera in Dallas.
On October 18th 2017 Monika Wolinska will lead Symphony Orchestra of Frederick Chopin University of Music. The concert will inaugurate the academic season.
On August 4th 2017 Monika Wolinska lead Gorzow Philharmonic Orchestra in concert with The Dead Daisies band at 23rd Woodstock Festival. Concert for Freedom has been prepared especially for this occasion.
